Hello and welcome back to all Cloverdale students Pre-K through 8th grade! It’s hard to believe that the start to another school year is right around the corner. I am looking forward to an exciting year.
We have seen several changes occur over the summer and your hard work along with a very supportive faculty/staff has proven to be beneficial. Our combined efforts in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades have granted us another payoff in making AYP again this year. Our 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams continue to show growth in their efforts as well. Congrats! We know that these efforts will continue into the 2011-2012 school year.
Both buildings will continue with our positive behavior support programs: SCORE in the elementary, and CHOICE at the middle school where our students are rewarded for choosing the right behaviors. These have been very successful in the past couple of years and we are excited to continue with positive behavior results.
To our parents, you may access information from our website, at any time for your convenience. I will also have my Principal updates posted monthly. We welcome you to be an involved parent in your child’s educational success. May I suggest that you start with a daily conversation regarding their school day, and please do not settle for the easy answer, “Nothing really.” If you take the time to truly listen, you will be surprised with what they are willing to share.
