CCSC Safety Response

Cloverdale Community Schools investigated a threat posted on social media today, Monday, February 19, 2018.  The threat was not made specifically to any particular school in our corporation, however; local police agencies, as well as school administration and staff, took all necessary safety precautions to ensure student and staff safety.  All Cloverdale students were searched prior to entering buildings and no weapons were found. All information that was gathered from our investigation has been turned over to local law enforcement for their review.

Cloverdale Community Schools continues to make school safety a top priority and appreciates parent and community member support in this process.

Letter from the Principal

Dear Cloverdale Elementary Friends,

The staff at Cloverdale Elementary understands the importance of making READING a priority every day at our school.  We are challenging our students to take the READING CHALLENGE in 2018.  We have come up with 10 challenges for you to try.  See how many you can finish.  Maybe you could even add a few of your own reading challenges.  So instead of making a NEW 2018 resolution, why don’t you

          1.  A book with more than 500 pages

          2.  A book with a number in the title

          3.  A funny book

          4.  A book based on a true story

          5.  A book you were supposed to finish in school but didn’t

          6.  A book you can finish in a day

          7.  A book set somewhere you’ve always wanted to visit

          8.  A book that came out the year you were born

          9.  A book with a color in the title

        10.  A book based on or turned into a TV show

Reading truly is a GIFT that keeps on giving.  Over the holidays, spend time READING together and making the BEST memories!
